It's all on HMS Wellington

open to the public and special guests

On Saturday 20 September from 10am – 5pm HMS WELLINGTON will open to the public and special guests.

Take the opportunity to look around this heritage vessel, the last surviving Grimsby Class Sloop moored at Temple Stairs and which has had historic links to the Thames since 1948.

Guided tours can be pre-booked and visitors can take part in two augmented reality experiences: learning how to steer the ship through a convoy and finding out how the original engines worked.

Visitors will have the opportunity to watch the Great River Race, an integral part of the festival, from onboard while enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake. The river race will also be live streamed on a big screen in the Courtroom.
