A historic warship, HMS WELLINGTON is a Grimsby-class sloop and was launched in 1934 in Devonport. The ship was built for imperial patrol duties in the RN New Zealand Division, based in Auckland. In 1939 she was recalled to the UK for wartime duties in the Battle of the Atlantic.

This truly unique opportunity to stay onboard is perfect for couples, history enthusiasts, or anyone seeking a completely distinctive getaway. The Captain’s Cabin really is an unforgettable stay onboard a genuine piece of British maritime history.

We offer a complimentary continental breakfast but if you want to upgrade your stay or require extra special arrangements, we offer three packages which are available on application:

Admiral for Dinner – Chilled Champagne, canapés and a private three Course Dinner in the Wheelhouse with private chef and a steward

Just a few minutes walk across from Temple tube Station in the very heart of London, step onboard the ship via the gangway, up the steps to the main entrance and reception, before climbing the 12 ladder steps up to the private captain’s quarters.

You will be introduced to the onboard ship’s rep,  you will be given a cabin show around and a safety briefing.

You will find a guestbook full of essential information and additional details, such as incredible local restaurants just moments away near the heart of London’s theatre land and information on the iconic landmarks spotted from the ship.

Please note this ship is not wheelchair accessible.

You will meet and then receive the contact number of your onboard ship representative on arrival for any required assistance during your stay.
